The core game loop was pretty cool, I loved it when I was able to hack the bigger ships and wreck everything else.
Although I did not see any real motivation for going for another hack when you have already hacked a good ship and playing safe by playing at the bottom at the screen. Another thing that prevented me from actively hacking was that because the good ships, or at least the one in the beginning of the game, have a shooting pattern where they shoot at the previous ships' position. This makes it so that when I try to change ships, the ship i just recently hacked would be blown up, making it a very risky play (at least for me).
All in all, I loved playing it as it was fun rushing and hacking better ships and blasting continuously. Thanks for mentioning it on Discord!
oh hey! Thanks for playing!
Did not expect to see a new comment in this one a good year later. :D
your game is beautiful :D, i loved the hacking, could you share your code? i am a begginer and i think this game would be a great project for learning , please, anyway, great game
I uploaded a zip in which you can find the source code.
You need the Godot Engine to run it, either 3.1 or 3.2 (I don't remember which one we used)
You can use the code, but please do not use any of the images or sound files for commercial purposes.
dont worry i will only use it for learning to code better, thanks a lot i wil search the zip
